We Wrote Code Before We Made Films
Empire Visual Studio did not start as a video company. It started with HTML, ASP, and PHP — building database-driven sites, writing the SQL behind them, and hand-rolling the JavaScript and CSS that made them work. Later, the frameworks arrived, and with them the newer ways of building the same things.
We stepped back from web work for an honest reason: it consumed time out of proportion to what it returned. A site that deserved three weeks took three months, and every one of those months was taken from production work we were better at.
That equation has changed. AI has collapsed the slow, mechanical part of web development — the boilerplate, the wiring, the repetitive build-out — and left the parts that actually needed us: design judgment, structure, and knowing what a site is for. So we are doing this again, deliberately.

What We Build

New Websites
Sites designed as part of a brand, not assembled from a template and a stock photo library.
- Company and corporate sites
- Portfolio and showcase sites
- Campaign and product launch sites
- Landing pages built to convert
- Multilingual sites for Malaysian and regional markets
Rebuilds and Transformation
Most businesses do not need a new website. They need the one they have to stop holding them back.
- Redesign of dated or underperforming sites
- Migration between CMS platforms
- Rebuilds that preserve existing search rankings
- Mobile and performance remediation
- Restructuring content and navigation

CMS and Modules
Sites your team can actually run without calling a developer every week.
- WordPress design, development, and theming
- Custom modules and functionality
- Booking, enquiry, catalogue, and gallery systems
- Database-driven content and directories
- Admin interfaces built for non-technical staff
Connected and Automated
Where a site stops being a brochure. Deeper automation, AI agents, and business systems are handled by AIGen.my, our dedicated AI systems brand — we bring them in when a project needs that depth.
- Social media feeds and content connections
- Form, enquiry, and lead routing
- Analytics and conversion tracking
- Content workflows that reduce manual updating
- Integration with tools your business already uses

Why Empire Visual Studio
- Design is not a skin here. We are a visual studio. The web work looks like it came from people who spend their days on composition, motion, and type — because it did.
- We actually understand the stack. The heritage is real. We are not a design shop outsourcing the build, and we are not a developer improvising the design.
- Rebuilds without the traffic loss. A redesign that discards your URL structure and rankings is a very expensive step backwards. Redirects, structure, and existing search equity are handled deliberately, not discovered afterwards.
- One studio for everything visual. Brand, photography, video, and site come from the same team. The website stops being the one asset that looks like a different company made it.
How a Project Runs
- Discovery. What the site is for, who uses it, and what is failing on the current one.
- Structure. Sitemap, page hierarchy, and content plan agreed before any design work starts.
- Design. Key templates designed and approved at desktop and mobile.
- Build. Development, content loading, and integrations.
- Launch. Testing, redirects, analytics, and hand-over — followed by a check-in once real traffic arrives.
Common Questions
Will a redesign hurt our Google rankings?
It can, if handled carelessly — that is the single most common way a redesign goes wrong. We map existing URLs, preserve or redirect them, and keep the structure Google already trusts. It is planned at the start, not patched after launch.
Can you work with our existing website?
Usually WordPress, because most clients need to manage their own content without a developer. Where a project genuinely calls for something else, we will say so and exUsually yes. We will tell you honestly whether improving what you have is better value than rebuilding, and sometimes the answer is that your current site is fine and the problem is elsewhere..
Which platform do you build on?
Usually WordPress, because most clients need to manage their own content without a developer. Where a project genuinely calls for something else, we will say so and explain why.
Can our team update the site ourselves?
That is the intention. We build the admin side for the people who will actually use it, and hand over with a walkthrough rather than a PDF nobody reads.
Do you build AI chatbots and automation?
Simple connections and integrations, yes. Anything substantial — AI agents, business automation, custom AI tools — goes to AIGen.my, our separate AI systems brand, and we coordinate the two so you deal with one project.
How long does a website take?
Most business sites run six to twelve weeks. The variable is almost never the build. It is content — waiting for text, images, and approvals is what stretches projects.
