An Identity Has to Survive Contact With Reality
A logo looks perfect in the presentation deck. Then it goes on a pull-up banner, a delivery van, a 3mm foil stamp, a phone screen, and a 10-metre LED wall — and three of those break it.
Empire Visual Studio designs identities with that ending in mind. We come from animation, event visuals, and large-format production, so we know exactly where a mark falls apart, and we design so that it does not.

Why Empire Visual Studio
- We build for every output. Print, screen, motion, and large-format all sit under one team, so an identity is tested against real applications before it is signed off.
- Production-ready files. You receive artwork a printer can run and a designer can pick up — correct formats, bleeds, colour spaces, and organised source files.
- Guidelines people can follow. A brand book is only useful if someone who is not a designer can use it. We write ours to be applied, not admired.
- Continuity across everything else. The same studio produces your video, event visuals, and photography, so the identity stays intact instead of drifting supplier by supplier.
How a Branding Project Runs
- Discovery. Your business, market, audience, and what the identity actually has to achieve.
- Direction. Two or three distinct routes, presented in real applications rather than on a blank white slide.
- Development. The chosen route refined, extended, and stress-tested across formats.
- System. Guidelines, templates, and the full artwork set assembled.
- Hand-over. Source files, production artwork, and everything your other suppliers will need.
Common Questions
We only need a logo. Is that too small a project?
No. But a logo alone tends to come back as a problem later, when nobody knows which colour version to use. We will tell you the minimum system worth having.
Can you refresh our existing brand instead of replacing it?
Yes, and often that is the better call. Equity you have already built is worth keeping. We can modernise a mark and tighten the system without discarding recognition.
Do you handle printing?
We supply print-ready artwork and can coordinate with your printer or recommend one. We prefer to stay involved through pre-press, because that is where files usually go wrong.
How long does a full identity take?
Typically 1 to 2 weeks depending on scope and approval rounds. Logo-only projects are faster; packaging and publication work runs longer.
Who owns the final design?
You do, on completion. Source files are handed over, and any licensed fonts or assets are documented so you know what is yours outright.
